How does the Meridian Signature Reference Audio System work?
I have the Signature Reference Audio System but I have never heard a sound coming from the speakers in the roof near the sun visors?
Are they only used when playing a DTS movie? I thought they should be used all the time, some kind of virtual 3d-thingy?Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic -14

It's only certain frequencies which come through the roof speakers. If you put your ear up to them you'll hear them. It's quiet but makes a difference.
Having said that, I have the 850W in my L494 and 1700W in my L405 and the difference is only really noticeable when you're listening from 35/60 and higher.

If you crank it up loud enough on the 1700w system, you can make the rear view mirror vibrate (and it doesn't have to be that loud in all honesty) - drove me nuts on a loan car once!

I was playing with the audio settings, and I only heard sound from the ceiling speakers when it was on a 3D sound mode (i.e. Meridian/Dolby/DTS 3D).
I usually listen at 18-22 with the windows closed and 26-30 with the windows open using an ipod USB connection.2016 SCV8 Dynamic - Firenze Red/Pimento
