I have heard a lot said about wonderful sweeping fast roads devoid of traffic up in the far away remote parts of Northern Scotland and got thinking that we have a few far flung members in those parts who never get to a meet up, so lets take one to them! I'm planning to meet up somewhere around Kyle of Lochalsh/ Sheil Bridge and then a group head off on the much vanted Road To Applecross village, listed in TG magazine as one of the top 10 roads to drive before you die! Now I know that after Easter this area gets pretty busy with tourists but before Easter many B&B's are still not open for business as it is wintery still. As the drive to get there is several hours from my home I thought how about having some feeder groups coming in from the rest of Scotland or even points further south....... Now I don't know the area, or what accommodation is available. In season there are loads of B&B's as this really is tourist land, it is also caravan and coach land! As I am in the fortunate position that I won't have to go to work for nearly 4 months I thought maybe a midweek drive north and a weekend meet up at say Eileen Donan Castle or Kyle of Lochalsh/ Plockton then head off to Applecross.
So anybody interested in a trip out the week after Easter? It's just a plan at the moment and this is to gauge interest.
I'm also thinking of opening it up to the other Range Rovers in the family L405/L322 and Evoques to involve some of their far flung owners too. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Clear sunny day on Skye so I spent the day cleaning and polishing, removing the streaks from the TFR they had used to 'valet' it and repairing a damaged wheel thanks to the careless tow truck drivers lashing straps - Barstewards, why don't people take care and what don't they understand about please DO NOT valet..
