I've checked first registration etc on LRTopix from the VIN on the order request - its dated 31/03/12 so with this info in hand I will be requesting both service & MOT from the stealers tomorrow am -

I suppose the current mileage and when it was last serviced could have a slight bearing on it, but 50.00 for a MOT certainly won't hurt them, especially when they probably want top dollar for the car,

Actual cost of MOT and service to a dealer is negligible and I would expect any reputable dealer to offer both without hesitation as part of the sale.

Would be a deal breaker for me if it wasn't serviced and a fresh MOT put on the vehicle. 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Yes to both also Peachy. Without a doubt. The car might already have MOT insurance with the extended warranty being offered on the car, so they will probably do the MOT when it is due and not before so that they claim the cost off JLR warranty services, and not having to pay for it out of their own dealership coffers. I don't think they will service the car till the due date, but you could make sure it is included in the sale at their cost. |

MOT won't cost dealer 50 if they have their own bay,,it will cost 1 hour labour for mechanic plus 2.05 for the mot slot.
