Been an avid reader in this forum for a while since getting my sport back in October but never had a cause to post a question until now. Just this evening I was out under the bonnet and upon looking under the battery cover saw the pictured item, it appears to be a very small cable with a plug connector on the end that isn't plugged into anything?

There doesn't appear to be anywhere for it to plug in and I have no idea what it could be for, any one able to shine some light?
