Re tension rear parcel cover

Hi. Is there a way to re tension the rear parcel shelf?? Eg disassemble and tighten spring. Or do I have to get a new one?

Took it apart and 2 big gold coiled springs shot out.2 hours later it's back in minus a screw I could not get back in.
It's a hell of a lot tighter.
