Hello, hope someone can give me the best advise on this

I have been working mainly in the UK for the past 2 years, and bought my RRS there last year. I will return to Italy in December/January and am thinking of bringing my UK registered RRS with me. The car is already registered on my name, and I will just need to move my residency (currently AIRE UK) back to Italy when home. I am aware that I can circulate in Italy with UK registration for max 12 months, but seen that bureaucracy is a bit slow in Italy , thought I should start the import process when arriving in Italy ... Can anyone please advise how to do it best? Would Motrizzazione Civile be best or just a local Agency?

I read a topic about importing a RRS in Portugal: but am not sure it works the same in Italy, ie I don’t think it would cost € 39.000! In Italy there are a lot of Germany and Eastern EU imports ... and the process is just about VAT and taxes to get it imported. But what about UK?
