Instrument Cluster Change

Hi

Strong possibility may be relocating to NZ and intended to take car with me. As they are in Km's over there I would like to change Instrument Cluster to one calibrated in Km's.

I have bought a new Cluster Unit from Dan at Duckworth's and I know the CCF files are programed into the Cluster Unit. Although to fit the new unit is relatively easy, would anyone know if I can just download the Original CCF Files using either a Gap Diag. Tool or a Blackbox Solutions one of which I have both and then just up load them to the new Cluster when Fitted, then change a file setting to Kph's etc.

Is it as simple as that? or will I need a Main Dealer to do it.

Forgot to mention the car's a MY13 Autobiography 5.0L S/C not that it should make any difference.

Cheers
Col

I expect the IID is capable of it, but not sure of the specifics - best ask Pat. Thinking aloud, there may be some syncing required with the BCM or similar.

Shame some bright spark decided to get rid of the secondary km/h dial isn't it? Rolling Eyes Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I'd move to NZ in a shot. SWMBO sister lives over there and we've done two month-long trips. Happy to live there even with the cost of living being a bit high (so much is imported and this makes stuff expensive). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
