Rim protectors - Anyone tried them, any good?

I've got the 22 inch in stealth satin black. Looking to protect the edges if possible as they kerb very easily. Anyone tried rim protectors, are they any good?

Not looking for something that is necessarily super durable, but something in black that blends in, and at least gives the alloy a fighting chance against light kerbing. Range Rover Sport SVR - Santorini Black

Don't think about using alloygators someone did and they came loose and whipped the side wing causing more damage than what a smart repair would have cost
