TV PICTURE QUALITY

Hi guys.

Sorry to jump on your forum but I'm a Discovery 3 owner and have been advised to ask you RRS people.

I have a 2007 D3 with factory fitted TV but the picture isn't too great..
it has horizontal lines across the screen.

TV isn't that common on D3s but seems to be much more so on RRS, I know this may sound odd but I've seen a RRS for sale on eBay with TV and the picture shown in the listing shows the same horizontal lines as mine..

I've only had the car a few weeks and after seeing the one on eBay I'm thinking that maybe it's normal..?

Does anybody here have TV with this problem or should the picture be clear.?

If I do have a problem is it a common one and if so what can I check to solve the problem..

Any help appreciated, like I said TV In D3 is quite rare.

Many thanks

Tony

Do you have a picture of the lines? Have you checked the aerial connections in your rear side windows.
I don't experience any lines on mine, although the picture isn't HD.
Have you installed anything to your car that may Cause interference, eg 12v USB charger, LED lights, blackvue?

Hello.

Only had the car a few weeks but nothing like any of the mentioned items are fitted.

I've also noticed that the tv sound and sometimes the picture cut of four a split second every 30 seconds or so but I'm putting this down to weather and reception etc.... A bit like Sky TV when the weather isn't great.

The lines don't move but they are kind of fuzzy if that makes sense

I'm not expecting anything like HD quality..

One last thing, last week I parked up and the reception was perfect.. No cutting out as mentioned above but the lines were still there

Many Thanks.

Tony

Forget to mention that I have given the button connectors a twist back and forth on the rear windows.

The rear windows are tinted and looks possibly to be after market.?

And the screen quality when using sat-nav or the 4x4 info is perfect.

Here's a shot of mine, not exactly a brilliant HD picture but it doesn't have the lines across

The TV module is located in the rear offside panel, by your jack. It might be worth checking the connections going to this next.
