I have a single channel 500 but hoping they haven't changed too much...

Take the SD card out of the camera and insert into the micro SD card reader (or in the supplied SD card adapter and the adapter in a USB port) of a computer.
Once detected, copy the files locally on the computer to avoid losing them due to being overwritten when you put the card back in the camera.
There will be two files per segment of recording: one for the video and one to map the location.
The video files are standard (can't remember the exact format) and should play in most video playing software.
If you don't have a suitable video player and/or want to see the car being tracked on a map side by side, download and install the Blackvue PC or Mac viewer from http://www.blackvue.com/support/downloads/ as appropriate and use it to open the files.

You can try and find the footage you are interested in using the phone app too by connecting it via WIFI but I find sifting through videos easier and quicker on a computer. Plus you should save the files on a computer to avoid losing evidence anyway.

Good luck with finding the event Thumbs Up Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Hi Rigsby,

I have the DR650 2 channel as well, there are 4 files per minute (or however long your clips are), example as below:
20150927_131932_NF.mp4
20150927_131932_NR.mp4
20150927_131932.gps
20150927_131932.gf

The 'N' in the mp4 file signifies 'normal', if there is an 'E' then it's for an event, when the (oversensitive) g-sensor thinks there is a crash etc! From memory, a 'P' is for when in parking mode.

As fkarim says, if you download the latest firmware pack for the DR650, there is a folder called Application with the viewers in it, one for Mac and one for PC.
Otherwise, you can view the mp4 files in any movie player app...

Best of luck

Thanks for the help Fkarim and slim 444.

I have found the footage and got the reg number but not sure what I can do about it. What is really annoying is he was still there when I left and I didn't realise Censored Censored Censored Censored MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

Hi Rigsby,

I would say get in touch with the police local to where you were, and explain what has happened. Tell them you have video footage and a reg number. I would think that they would then contact the registered owner of the vehicle Question

Hi Buckster, I am guessing the fact that it is in a car park is not going to help but at least I have the footage if needed MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

^^^ +1. He didn't leave his number and insurance details hoping you won't find out who did it so you are free to pursue via other channels. How bad is it? Worth your time and hassle? Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I would say even if it was on privately owned land, car parks normally have signs saying that they (the carpark) relinquish all responsibility of damage and theft therefore someone hitting you would still be liable in my eyes Question 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

If the public have access, then the RTA 1988 applies. It is known as a 'route of good intention'. Therefore if someone dings your car in ASDA carpark (other supermarkets are available Very Happy ), and does a bunk, then they have 'left the scene of an accident' under the Road Traffic Act 1988. Interestingly this also applies to temporary carparks set up for shows/functions etc. So if your town has an annual show, and a field is used as a public car park, the RTA 1988 applies to that field.
