Facelift on the horizon?

A source has informed me that Feb and March build allocation has been heavily pulled back for L405/L494 models. Anybody else heard this? My contact thinks it could be to allow for some build changes/updates...

My build was scheduled to be mid February and now been told it's 15 Jan.

Not sure whether I should hold off to get the my 16.5 model which will probably be built during February? Previous - 2008 RRS 2.7 HSE Black

I haven't seen or heard anything about a facelift for the L494. I think the FFRR L405 went on sale about a year before the L494 and surely that when the time comes, that will receive a facelift first? And if history is anything to go by LR do not tend to do frequent facelifts. The Evoque went on sale in the summer of 2011 and only just received a mid term model facelift.....I think.

Hope that helps

Looks like a MY17 update is on the way:

That was posted a while ago. As said above it would make more sense to face-lift the FFRR first and there haven't been any spy shots of that yet. (AFAIK) Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Could the L494 spy shots seen earlier this year be Discovery 5?

The picture I posted is obviously a RRS with a revised front end that is obviously based on the D5 concept front end suggesting a facelift to match the D5. It's entirely likely that the RRS will be face lifted to bridge the visual gap between D5 and FFRR before the FFRR is touched. Hell, the FFRR is only on its 4th version in 45 years so they obviously don't feel the need to keep refreshing it that often. After all, FFRR isn't generally bought by people who follow fashions. Whistle

The camo D5 pictures seen earlier this year are very obviously not a RRS facelift unless the RRS is going to gain a Discovery-style roof kink... Rolling Eyes 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
