OBD Saver

Has anyone fitted one of these to a MY 15 RR Sport, and if so how easy is it to access the OBD port.

http://sailesmarketing.com/shop/obdsaver/o...landrover/

Also has anyone had a security recall to modify the port, I heard there was a mod which prevented any more than two keys being associated with any one vehicle.

Thanks

Ian

Looks like a neat little device, but there are much cheaper ways of disabling your OBD port Wink

It's covered elsewhere on the forum i think, but involves cutting the data line to your OBD port and putting a small switch in a hidden place. Pins 7 & 15 spring to mind Wink You can also put a switch on pin 16 (battery +ve) but a clever scrote will more than likely have a device with it's own supply!
Plenty of OBD pinouts diagrams around the web too...

Of course, on a 15 plate, you may not want to be cutting wires under the dash Cool

If you block access to the ODB port they need only find another bit of CANBUS to use instead...

Besides, there are now software updates to prevent key programming now anyway. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Not needed after the KVM security upgrade. The OBD is not very useful to them.
