The speedo will read differently but not by a huge amount. The transmission etc. shouldn't care either way. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It's not 5mm difference it's 5% of the tyre depth so "40" is 40% of 285 which is 114mm as opposed to 35% of 285 which is 100mm. |

I was going to put 40's on mine but the price of tyres were a lot more expensive so I kept to 35's.
