Steering lumpy

Hi All

Just noticed my steering is lumpy/notchy when i turn it goes about 80 degrees then like a stiff lump before it seem free again. checked the obvious cant see any leaks and the resovoir is mid way between min and max.

does any one have any suggestions before i take it to garage?

Lower steering column Thumbs Up give it some wd40 at the uj and it will temporarily help it. Needs replacing. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

as bodsy said wd 40 sorted mine out last winter and its been fine ever since

Big thanks. smothered UJ with WD40 (once i found it, UJ that is not WD40 Laughing ) as suggested much better.

had the same problem as oneworld1967. WD40 then some GT85 good as gold thanks lads. Thumbs Up

Can i ask, where do we find this UJ is it under the bonnet or underneath the front of the beast ?? I would like to check mine to see if its covered in whatever Thumbs Up 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!!

HI. you will find the UJ under the bonnet. its part of the bottom steering column. and joins onto the rack. the best way to get at it is by taking the bash plate of underneath held on by 10 bolts. Thumbs Up
