2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Powered side steps

Collected my car from the dealer after the ECU upgrades and the sales guys (who know I like gadgets) showed me the latest accessory for your FFRR ------ POWERED side steps, they extend when you press the remote unlock and retract when you have got in and closed the door......................... £300 a set + 4 hours to fit if you are interested. Just one small design problem with them though.......... if you have to jack the car up to change a tyre you have to remove this 2m long 0.5t device from under the car 1st Laughing Cannot see many owners doing that, they'll just call out LR Assist!

Will try to get a video of them when I go into the dealer again on Thursday 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I wish I could get some for my D3 cos the side steps really get in the way when off-roading. £300 is cheap too, cos the normal steps cost this. Matt

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

I've found the fitting instructions on the GTR site.
They are called "Deployable Side Steps" and are part no. VUB 504240.
They look complex things to fit. The have switches in the head lining!
Doesn't look like they would fit a D3 though.
You can view them at http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/extfree2viewlrprod/index.jsp
PS. Site doesn't work properly with Firefox - need IE. Matt
