Sorry for the detour OP but having already sold it I don't think you would care Smile Please PM me if BC's cheque bounces (hint: he drives a Discovery!).

Paul, have you found out the real reason why your car is stuck in a compound?

I've tried dealer and Pete @ Lrcs repeatedly but nobody will tell me why but I'm expected to pay £40k after an additional 3 months delay due to build issue and trust that it's going to be faultless now Confused

A very reliable source told me there's an issue with the windscreen on the new DS. They can't cope with any additional weight put on them. Not even, for example, lightweight optical devices. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone

Put your cards on the table and ask them to come clean on the situation or cancel your order. I would. Thumbs Up Don't take anymore crap. You have had the experience of the DS now Wink Yes it might be good, but.... Imaging taking delivery of your new DS (perhaps next summer at this rate) Laughing And the first time you take it out your windscreen get smashed Shocked If it is true what Fkarim is saying, (and i don't douibt it) your new DS is going to be parked up for quite a while awaiting a new screen. Whistle Plenty of other marques out there to choose from. Wink

i have to agree, your driving their car, not yours which is some bonus as your getting the driving experience and they are getting the miles put on theres, but the shiny new car won't be the same, it will just be another DS that you should have got 3 months ago

have you tried going right to the top of LR and emailing the MD? his PA might answer back with some more info

Have you spoken to any other dealer on the pretence of making a order with them, to see what their timescales are, as your obviously been fobbed off, it wouldn't surprise me if your dealers hadn't ordered it and its went to the back of the queue

Are these not available on Amazon for similar prices or cheaper. I think you could purchase a larger capacity memory card.

Not less than £190 for the front and rear with 64GB and the hardwire kit Wink Thumbs Up

You can save a few £'s by buying the front and rear separately and a bigger card separately, but it'll still only be circa £240. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I'm considering this fitted at £333 for a new RRS due mid Dec. Doesn't say what memory card....guessing it's the 16gb. Edited - as telephoned and twin camera option comes with a 32gb card.

http://dashboardcamerareviews.com/k1s/

Around £180 usual online outlets

I've got one in my RRS and its absolutely spot on, all the features of the Thinkware. Fitted it myself very simply, about 2 hours max & totally discrete. That included connecting up to the SatNav, so that I can use the hidden menu for when towing.

All the features??
No speed camera alerts, lane change etc.....
It's 'ok' for the money, but a bit cumbersome. Not a fan of screens on the units either. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
