Has any one specced the home link?

We have gates and wonder is it a success or have members found it to be a waste.

I have it and use two of the available three buttons for Gate and Garage Door. Works perfectly and set up took only a few minutes.
No more looking for remotes rattling around or in the wrong cars, or changing flat batteries.

Worth checking that your current systems are compatible with Homelink. Massive list on the Homelink website.

& whilst I have had it working on garage doors no problems at all, not all gates use the same frequency, and in fact non of my gates have ever worked with it... - I no longer spec it.

Had it in a car a few years ago. Wouldn't bother with it again.
Range is far greater by remote. Agree it's handy not having to find the remote at the last minute, but that's about the only upside. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I've just specced it in our new car and couldn't set it up when it arrived.

Turns out my gates aren't compatible but one call to homelink and You can buy an additional receiver to fit that makes them compatible. 16 model year yulong white autobiography
