Looks great Thumbs Up I agree it's massive!

Couple of quick questions pending your full writeup:
1. How practical are the 3rd row seats? Do you think they would be comfortable for adults for long journeys and provide a decent view also?
2. How do you compare the interior (especially dashboard, centre console etc.) in terms of layout/looks and user-friendliness to your D4 and MY12 RRS? Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

fkarim - the third row are probably the best in class without going to a people carrier. Definitely comfortable for an adult on a long journey. The visibility is great too as the seating is set up as 'stage seating' so each row can see past the next. The other great thing is as we specced 'easy access' the third row is deployed electrically from the boot or rear door switches. It also at the press of another button flips either side of row two forward, meaning that you can access the rear seats very easily. I'll get a video of it in action at the weekend.

Interiors is definitely a step up from the D4 and RRS1, though probably not a fair comparison and better against the RRS2. Console is easy to see and use. Lots of functions through the COMAND system which isn't dissimilar to BMW's iDrive setup.

The speedo/rev binnacle is nice and there is a lot of information available through the 'Driver information screen' which can all be accessed by the steering wheel buttons.

You'll notice no gear knob or rotary selector, this is a true 'stick shift' with the gears me being selected by the righ hand steering wheel stalk. I guess because the main market for this is the US and elite made in Alabama. It's actually very intuitive to use.

Overall, having driven 200 miles in it last night I'm very impressed. Managed 37 mpg l, which for the size and new engine I thought was very good. Also has a 120l size tank so a decent gap between fillings, though will be costly when diesel goes back up Shocked

Only slight annoyance so far is the 'nanny state' controls which puts collision warning on each and every journey, even if you disable it, means rather annoying bongs when you least expect them.

Will report back with further insights later this week Thumbs Up

You can see here the decent width they are (ignore the back drop, was in a car park)

Thanks for the info.

Why not a fair comparison against RRS2 interior-wise? I know the 2 cars are very different but isn't the starting price similar to RRS2? Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
