Can someone let me know the part number for a 2012 RRS autobiography grille please.

If you have a genuine grill the part number will be on the reverse of the grill, stamped on it. Surely your dealer knows this

I called Duckworths and alsogot the number LR019208.

I get the feeling they dont want to get the part number on the grille as they are convinced its not original as they have order two different ones via the VIN and neither looked like mine.

Looking at L/R's Microcat Electronic Parts System it would appear.

Gloss Black Mesh is LR032397 from VIN. CA000001 On.

Titan Silver Mesh is LR019208 From VIN. AA000001 On.

My VIN starts AA and is the silver one so looks standard to me!

Truth is they probably don't want to replace it at there cost full stop as it Retails at £457.00 + VAT.

Also if your car is a 2012 would have though the VIN No. should start either CA (MY12) or DA (MY13) as AA would be 2010

Normally would agree but its warrenty with JLR so not costing the deler anything.

There are 2 colours of the A/B grill. Silver grill is the one fitted to a factory A/B vehicle. And a gloss black grill that was fitted to a new vehicle that had the factory A/B kit fitted, which was a factory option on a new RRS. The A/B kit became available to fit to existing vehicles due to demand. Dealers were offering the kit for around £3995.

Not sure if the Warranty is the Land Rover Extended Warranty that can be purchased after the normal one run's out, if it is then it excludes Bodywork, Bodyseals, Cosmetic Finishes, Glass, Paintwork, Trim, Upholstery and Weather Strips. Also Deterioration, Discolouration etc. due to normal ageing. So as you have only just bought the car the Dealer may have to fork out and not L/R.

They are claiming warrenty as the part is bad quality and that its come apart. Its still in the original 3 year warrenty so they can claim. And the dealer doing the work isnt the supplying dealer to me so they are only claiming against JLR.
They sent me pics of the grilles that have arrived so I have to believe they ordered them, wrongly, and had them delivered. No idea why they ordered the wrong ones unless they where sent the wrong ones. They told me tonight as I picked the car up, "The grille should arrive tomorrow so we call you tomorrow and arrange the qucik swap out" I would be mega peed off if they tell me tomorrow etc that its not covered after days of odering incorrect etc to be told they never did as its not warrenty, that would be a straight forward lie, that I have on writing, but I dont think thats case.
