One of the things I haven't like since I picked up my RRS was the light wood trim, so after getting some new hockey sticks in piano black (yet to be fitted), I thought I would wrap the door trims in black gloss.

However, the wrap wasn't particularly robust and I could see it looking rather poor so I opted for painting.

As it was a nice day today and as I couldn't be bothered to use the compressor and paint gun I went for rattle cans...

Before I started-




Sanded and primed (there was some silicone contamination than needed to be addressed)-




I went for a pearlescent Black( a ford colour)- before laquer-






And lacquered-



Just needs a polish tomorrow and then will be back on the car.

Next step will be the hockey sticks- not a job I'm looking forward to...!

Very nice! Out of interest are you going to also do the door pulls to match? Not sure if paint or a wrap would stand up better over time?

The door pulls are metal (I'll need to check now!) but I will leave them as is for now as you are right, I'm not sure how well theynwill hold up,over time.
