MPH SHOW 2006

Went along yesterday with Tim, Jaymann and Misery.
Great day out, didn't get a fat lot for the £50 top tickets, but was still great, show was ok, but the cars on display were superb.. not often you see as many top supercars in one place, and got to sit in a few. The Merc McClaren SLR was my personal favourite... even though i had to ask 3 times to sit in it.. (some of the people were quite rude and stuck up.. but managed to get over this).

See pics below:

Merc SLR in London..
Wow..! Plus very nice plate..

Jay doing the driving..

Me chilling in the back watching snatch!!

And thats it.. Didn't take any pics inside the show, as they didn't come out well at all.. so didn't bother trying again..

Classic car show was good, some nice pieces there.

Well I don't have many pics - the Bowler Nemisis I think was my fav car of the show but £120k for a fast fastback with fibreglass body and 2 seats takes a fair bit of justifying! On the way round the M6 south of Brum this morning I was in the middle lane when I got "chased" by a bunch of lads in Pug 306 DTi who were trying to out run/ hamper an orange Gaillardo................. what a bunch of prats. As soon as the Lambo found a slot on the inside the driver floored it, undertook the Pug and then pulled back in infront of it and sat at 70 all the way round Brum in the outside lane and wouldn't let the Pug pass! Laughing

Jay thanks for running the taxi service and Kam thanks for dinner, Misery thanks for the company and the hilarious comments abouth S/C fuel consumption on the phone.

The clever flying G4 RRS

I did ask if it would fit onto a Defender chassis, but unfortunately it won't!

And even on a motorshow stand there was a sick RRS!

I don't want to admit this, but I also rather like the new Volvo C30....................... especially the bright red one!

How many tanks of fuel did it take you to get home Mis? It took me just over a half tank to get from Luton to Stirling................. OK that was not at the speed of light like you, but sat at 70 on the cruise for most of the trip. Left at at 0730 and got in the front door at 2:30pm including 2 stops for me and a fuel stop at Stirling. Just put the figures for the trip home into the computer and it works out at 31.1mpg - not bad seeing as it is uphill nearly all the way! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Sumatra Black

I went Thursday night to the Gala show. Good fun. Followed all the way down the M1 by a Kahn RRS.

Didn't have my camera unfortunately but there was a great set of wheels on a RRS on one of the stands - black except for the outer surface of the spokes that were silver. Huge too. I always think the 20" wheels look so small.

Hmmm???

Guys.. left jaymann at 11:10pm, filled up with all of £20 diesel in the c220cdi and was back pulling into solihull at: 12:16am i think it was.. what time did i text u Jay? now that was one brisk 70 mph drive home.. (honest.. Embarassed Very Happy )

No cars on the roads.. specially none with blue strip lights on top.. and had fun with 2 merc e classes, who were making very good progress up the M1 and M6.. think they were surprised i kept up in the c class.. hehe..

Very good day, thanks shmoogle for reccomending it after your trip there last year..
