The dealer has emailed offering £1000 fitted inc vat. Apparently list is £1239 - they seem very expensive these days. On my 2011 disco 4 I paid just over £600.

They are pretty strong - the channel is underneath. But of course they are low down - i will try to do some photos - it's been put to bed tonight under the car port! |

Perfect thanks.... It does not look like they stick out much further than the body work compared to my discovery.... Just arrived: Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic, black contrast panoramic roof, red brembos.

We have these and they cost zilch, LRHQ compensation (circa £1,300) for a problem we had. As steps they are good and help the wife get in and out of the car, she is currently suffering from a back problem.

I personally don't see the need for steps on the L494 and if I was to pick, I would have the deployable side steps like I have on the L405. As others have said, the fixed side steps can cause issues off road. |

Autobiography, Is there still an issue with having to remove the deploy-able sidesteps entirely to jack the car up if you get a puncture/ flat tyre? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Nope. I believe the jacking point is different but no longer need to be removed. I would still always call LR Assist (and have) anyway because I don't think much of the supplied jack. |
