So after waiting what seems like an eternity, though a lot less than some of you on here, my car is being built tomorrow! Ive been invited to go up to the factory in Solihull to watch my very car taking shape, if I find the guys installing the fuel tank I will promptly beat them over the head with said baffle-less tank don't worry!

You will enjoy the factory visit and if you get out early enough the trip over the LRE on the site will open your eyes as to what the car is capable of too. Make sure that you keep you wallet firmly in a pocket and lock up your credit cards when you get to the Land Rover Gear shop too................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Good luck! Would be great if you get to see your car. I didn't see mine even though I visited the same day that I was informed it would be built. The tour guide said unless you know the exact time when yours will be on the line, it won't be possible. Wasn't too disappointed because I was told at the time of booking that it may not happen so was prepared. It turned out mine went on the line the following week so there was never any chance. It was a very informative tour but didn't cover QC except "... after this the cars are taken for 'stringent' quality checks as we take quality control very 'seriously'. Cars are brought back here when even a minor issue is found" ( ). Not the exact words but it was along those lines. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Yeh I have my doubts that ill be able to actually see my car on the production line but like you say it should be a good few hours seeing the factory and everything going on! I might ask to see the QC department fkarim sounds great!

Ive got a LRE in Eastnor Castle coming up which I've done before when I got my current MY12, it was one of the best days I've experienced seeing exactly what the cars are capable of doing Tim! Ive got 3 cable ties around my wallet, considering adding a fourth!
