Basically, he's right. You can get new cores and refub them etc. but the trouble with these things is that the mechanisms can only be calibrated at the factory. New turbos is the only option you can rely on. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Just noticed this.

Anything more than £3,500 for a pair of turbos, Inc labour is rather excessive... |

Thanks for the swift response guys, the turbo's were £1350 each, so will be having a word with him about the labour costs. there was a £200 recovery fee, gaskets, he cleaned the inlet pipes out, but i too also struggle to see £2K's worth of work. Also the car has depreciated and im now down 6 months on the MOT so ill see if he can sort me out maybe a free MOT or something. im glad to hear that about the turbos tho, thank you very much! |
