This rear camera has appeared on ebay, said to be a genuine land rover part for a range rover sport, and implies if fits in the rear spoiler.

Just spoke to the parts dept at my dealer, and they dont list a camera for the RRS, but they do list one for th FFRR. I reckon its one of these, so would suspect there is no easy mounting for it, and no wiring there for it either.

I've sent the seller a message asking what the part number is as I suspect this is actually a Range Rover part and not a Sport part. The FFRR has a standard reversing camera - but, to my knowledge, none exists for the RRS.

Definately a FFRR camera. Rear camera's are not planned to be introduced on RRS for a couple of years yet.

Hello, mates! I find it rather interesting that Land Rover wants to wait a few YEARS for a backup camera when just about every other manufacturer of luxury sport SUVs has it as a readily available option! (example: Lexus, Escalades, BMW, Hummer) ------------- Wherever you go, there you are. |

Lexus "Luxury". Sorry, but I used to work at Toyota and the Lexus, up until a couple of years ago was sold in most countries as a Toyota but they invented the "badge" due to America and Europes thirst for "premium" badges. They come out of the same factories but at the port, the ones going to USA and Europe had the Lexus badge stuck on them. Now they stick the Lexus badge on at the factory. Very clever marketing and Toyota do not mind admitting so. They even sell them in Japan now as the Japanese wanted the Lexus badge too. |
