[For Sale] SOLD 2007 Range Rover Sport 3.6 TDV8 HSE
Hi all
The time has come to part with my beloved. I have owned this 2.5 years and my entire ownership history is plastered all over the site so will help prospective buyers with regards to full disclosure. The main highlight is that the car came with inherent issues that I had repaired in my time as owner either by Stratstone, Lookers or Dakkars Car (independent land rover specialist) .
The issues were all typical of this make & model, namely compressor, knocking sound, steering wheel squeak and the like. Outside of this nothing out of the ordinary. As mentioned, lots about this car on this site but couple quick links:
The car is on finance therefore a sale will involve settling with the finance company and payment to myself for the balance.
Ad specifics:
2007 Range Rover Sport 3.6 TDV8 HSE
74.5k miles, daily running (100 miles a week approx.)
- Java black with Alpaca leather. No rips on the leather, usual wear tear for this age.
- HST bodykit upgrade fitted by supplying dealer Farnell Leeds (bill of sale available)
- Currently fitted with the supercharged grill (purchased from fellow forum member) but will put the original HST “honeycomb” grill back on and sell the supercharged one separately (or bundle it at discounted cost if buyer wishes).
- 20” 2011 style alloys (also purchased from fellow member).
- Also have the 22" Overfinch supersport “style“ wheels (I.e. not branded) that came with the car. Again, I plan to sell separately but available at discounted cost for whoever buys the car.
- Tyres tread range between 4-5mm I believe but will check again on request. Also have 7-8 tyres in the shed that I kept as backup. I think these are 20” grabber UHP and some budget 22”. Will throw these in if buyer wishes.
- Original spare tyre however no winch as it broke and never got around to replace.
- MOT due Feb 2016
- Full service history with the following stamps:
---Mar 2008 – Land Rover Farnell Leeds
---Feb 2010 – Land Rover Guy Salmon Wakefield
---Feb 2011 – Land Rover Guy Salmon Wakefield
---Oct 2012 – Private garage
---Feb 2014 – Land Rover Stratstone Essex (my ownership)
---Feb 2015 – Land Rover Lookers Park Royal (my ownership)
Works carried out in my ownership (all in the last 2.5 years):
- new air compressor
- new rear arc bar (knocking issue)
- new front arc bar (knocking issue)
- new front lower arms and D bushes
- repair handbrake parts (squealing issue)
- steering flush (TSB LTB00072)
- replace rear parking sensors
- replace SRS squid (airbag related issue)
- fuel cap replaced during scheduled service
- Apr 2013 – Rear OEM pads & discs. This was 13k miles ago.
- Nov 2014 - Front OEM ferodo pads & brembo discs. This was about 6k miles ago
This is thousands spent in exemplary maintenance as most owners will know too well (original invoices all kept).
- No smoking, no pets, no off-roading.
- Carried child seats but with these seat protectors at all times
- 2 keys (second one is brand new, purchased from duckworthparts over at Disco3 and programmed by Grange Land Rover Barnet)
- Privacy glass all around
- Rubber mats (did plan to sell separately but given winter coming, will throw them in)
- Regularly washed at home with detailing products.
- Usual RRS luxury spec kit including fridge, cruise control, heated front & rear seats, alarm, etc
The HST bodykit may not be to everyone’s taste but with the double square exhaust pipe and that TDV8 roaring sound, it makes it stand out from the regular spec version (imho ).
Mods:
- Stuck OEM badges as it came debadged in rear
- New bonnet lettering as previous had seen better days
- Piano black wrap as seen here http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic37310-15.html
- Updated NAV to 2012 maps (purchased from fellow member wigs)
- 2-stage pain correction detail with Zymol Destiny LSP to restore original shine on paintwork (see pics posted in earlier thread). Topped up with quick detailer every time I washed it myself.
- BAS remap (which I will remove but can negotiate a discounted price on the device)
As described in earlier threads, forked out at the first sign of problems to keep it in perfect running state. No issues whatsoever since the last work carried out in Jun 2014. Was parked for around 2-3 weeks when on holiday and came back to a first time starter and has gone through harsh winter without battery issues.
Honest car, I’ve sorted out all the problems that normally come with these beasts so I am confident it will give the next owner a happy and trouble-free motoring! It's a genuine sale (moving abroad). Car is in London (east).
