It's true in so far as you're not supposed to use a different reg number to misrepresent the age of your car, but I must say I'm not sure how that's policed. What he's trying to say I assume is that you shouldn't be putting this on a car that's older than S reg (which was 1998 I think).... but then it's has an obvious other meaning, so I don't know how anyone would think it was being used to misrepresent a car's age....

The correct font and spacing is so that the thousands of ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) cameras can read your plate, which on the good side means the police can track it should it be stolen, but also means that they can track YOU too, for traffic offences, the pence per mile tolling coming in a few years and more if you like conspiracy theories! |

I'm afraid the ANPR cameras are all video cameras rather than static pictures, so don't rely on a flash, making any sort of numberplate coating useless.

And with all these clever interlinked databases that Phoney and his Cronies have set up, if you have recently applied for a new digitised passport then they can probably match your passport mugshot to the photo from the speed cameras............. so it doesn't matter if you've wasted £25 on a can of gunk 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
