TPMS Not Avaliable

Just got round to fitting summer wheels and tyres. Had a set of new tyres fitted to some spare rims also fitted new sensors at same time. Now comes up on display Tyre Pressure Monitoring Unavailable, no warning lights or anything just the message. Did about a 30 mile trip thought that would be sufficient for the system to recognise the the new sensors but still not working.

Checked for Fault Codes and came back with C1D21-05 (6) Wheel Sensor so I assume at least one of the new sensors is faulty. Which is useful as there are Five including the spare.

Does anyone know if that code is actually telling me which wheel is the problem, or how to pinpoint which sensor is faulty?. Or is it a trip to the Stealers.

The wheels I took of were no problem and everything worked fine.

Any help much appreciated, By the way it's a 12 plate car.

Cheers
Col

I know it's an olf thread, but can I ask, did you ever resolve this Question In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Hi

Did get it sorted in the end, what I did is had the bead broke on the tyre and took the serial number off the individual sensors and position (should have done that first as a precaution). Then had a Local Indi programme the car telling it which sensor was in which wheel, I think he used Autologic diag. stuff. and it had been fine since.

According to L/R you shouldn't need to do that as they do learn which position they are in after driving a few miles above something like 20mph but mine didn't although I suppose it may have eventually.

Strange really because I just fitted a set of SVR wheels that had sensors fitted and they were O.K. within a few miles.

The only thing I did find with the previous set was the amber warning light would come on occasionally but would just go of again at some point, It did appear to only do this on the front wheels and if the ambient air temp was quite high which is quite rare in the U.K.

Cheers

Hi Col
Thanks for the info, looks like I will have to get the bead on one of my tyres broken as well, I have fitted a spare set of wheels I had, and am getting the same info as you.

Hi

No problem, but to be honest you might find if you keep driving the car it may sort itself out unless you have a faulty sensor.
