Wood trim inserts

Hi all, I'm looking at a replacement facelift 60 plate car but it has the lightish oak wood trim inserts. A couple of questions:

1 - Has anyone here done a conversion to the dark wood or piano black?

2 - If so, who does it & what cost?

3 - Are they buyable for the likes of me & are they a DIY job?

Thanks all Thumbs Up

I asked this question at a LR dealer at weekend as I saw one with the same trims. Answer is that the cheapest way to do it (with good results) is to get in a company to change the colour. The dealer was talking about a company that they use in the west country who can change it to piano black by taking them off and dipping them.

The cheapest way is to remove whatever trim you want changing yourself and take them to a friendly body shop to spray piano black. I removed the interior door handle covers, hockey sticks and stereo side surrounds myself. Guides can be found on YouTube for removal of the same. I got charge £50 it I knew the body shop owner and was also having other work done.
