About to buy a 12 month old car from a dealer. They emailed me an order which they've signed.

Interestingly it is obvious they just copied and pasted the car's data from the original order when the car was new and inserted my data and my p/x car ID on the form. The 'fun' part is that it lists a few things like Tyre insurance, GAP insurance, 12 months tax, paint treatment all within the price I've agreed.

I've paid a deposit, however I'm not taking any of these things ! The 'small' print says "only sign this order if your are prepared to be bound by the contents".

So then, shall I 'force' them to give me these extras ??. Morally wrong, I know, but it might be fun to turn the tables for a change !

Go for it. I would Although they will say now the new VED law has changed, we can't offer this. But you can fire it back at them and ask them to cover the cost of the 12 months VED. I screw my dealer for every penny.

In honesty I expected to pay the VED and there's a cherished number transfer.

They've tried to sell me the paint treatment, I declined ! but since I now know that was done at new I don't see that should need to be done again its worth twisting their tail
