Weird dead car/ dash experience

Hi,

Thought I'd report a strange happening......car been fine with no issues. Out for an hours drive, returned, parked up on drive, jet washed the back/tail gate, ran out of petrol on the jetwash and decided to go to station to get some more.

Closed up tailgate, jumped in front, foot on the pedal, finger on the button AND NOTHING. Not a thing, no dashboard lights, no clicking, no noises. Not a thing. (remote lock/unlock did work when tried mind you)

Did the hidden menu thing and battery reported 12.2v, but decided to give it a jump from the M6, up to 14.6v after a minute or so, Foot on the brake, finger on the button - NOTHING.

Mmmmm - wife calls me in for Sunday lunch. Eat lunch. Google symptoms, nothing. 30 mins later........

Back out to car, foot on brake, finger on button and full back to normal operation !

Stop engine, lock up, open open, restarts fine.

Now happy as all working okay, but a little concerned as no fault was found. HAS ANYONE SEEN/EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE ?

Is it a gremlin ? Could it be some water ingress in the tailgate ?

Cheers

David

Push Home - Push top middle of screen for 5 seconds, push top left of screen for 5 seconds. enter 753 as password (or was it 159 ?) diagonal anyway.

Then you'll get the hidden menu allowing various obs. and some cool things.
