Hi - got a 2006 v8 RRS (110k miles) and although the Chinese branded tyres need replacing first I wondered if there was any merit in changing the bushes too as the car just doesn't feel as planted as my Q7?

Anybody done it?

Never been a fan of polys in an RRS or D3

Fitted a couple of sets for customers, but I just couldn't get on with how from the ride was afterwards.
They may have softened up with a few thousand miles on them, but my initial impressions were not good

Stick with OEM bushes, IMHO

I fitted some Polyurethane bushes to a Disco TD5, they were . You could drive over a penny and tell if it was heads or tails. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

I haven't checked my original ones yet but wonder about nearly 10 years and 100k miles they will failing? Hence why the car doesn't feel planted ?

I had a Vogue and that felt somewhat better!

When the wishbone bushes wear, they tend to get a bit soft, and the car wallows around a bit, and becomes very sensitive to the camber of the road, and "tracks" the white lines in the middle of the road.

Just a general instability, is probably the best description

I would expect it to be at least similar to my last Vogue :-/

Will check out how it does with stock 20" rims with some decent tyres on and maybe go from there - even my wife prefers the Q7 now and people tend to say that is a bit of a barge too!

Tyres will make a difference for a start.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
