I can't imagine these cameras will ever catch Muddywheels... Shocked He's more chance of being caught for loitering the speed he drives. Laughing

These are already on the M25, between clacket lane and the dart ford crossing. They are generating a huge amount of revenue.

I believe that one of the reasons for these new cameras is that they don't need a person to download the data, it is all automatically done with no human intervention other than the postman who deliveries your speeding ticket. The old systems all required lots of backroom staff to follow up on the data. I a;lso believe that thesde new ones are tied into the EuroPol system so visitors from the EU can now be penalised for breaking our speed limits, up to now the procedure for following up foreign drivers has been too difficult.

Now when are we taxpayers going to hammer these nonuniformed police people who are avoiding paying BIK tax on their company cars just because they are declared as "Emergency Response Vehicles" and are fitted with discreet blue lights and sirens.................. why the hell are we paying for them to have a company car in the first place I'm sure that they don't need one just to travel to work? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

They are even more sneaky here with mobile cameras hidden in parked vans and cars. But I have my Valentine 1 detector to warn me and other protection (all legal here in WA) to stop radar and cameras seeing my car as much as possible. So far so good.

I have been considering some 'Laser Parking Distance Detectors" which apparently work on the magic 904nm...

Or this also looks quite handy.. http://www.targetblueye.co.uk/

Quote:
Target Blu Eye is a unique and worldwide patented traffic safety system that warns you in advance of approaching emergency service vehicles. In the UK all the emergency services use Tetra radios and Target Blu Eye will let you know when they are close come day or night. So whilst driving at night, even if the emergency vehicle is not using their lights or sirens, Target Blue will alert you of their presence up to a kilometre radius.

In my case, my complaint with them is not just about the core speed issue though (though I do think the limit should be increased to 80mph), it's about the way in which they cause traffic to travel at closer speeds, making it more dangerous and harder to change lanes when required. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
