your phone records your every movement and that data could also determine speed of travel if that was the info in question.

THE OBD system records much the same data anyway. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I think you will find that even without 'apps' much of this information was already recorded in a vareity of black boxes which existed within the vehicle, and in the event of an incident this information could be requested. - Certainly my old L322 contained a wealth of data including axctual speed / average speed at various points. |
