I would go with hers you can only give way to right if you know there coming , what cam you using does it record automatically on every journey. I like the idea of one but want an install and forget setup unless you need the footage

I've noticed recently that particularly on cars with clear indicator lenses and orange bulbs in some light conditions the indicator doesn't show up too well.

My camera is a very inexpensive Mini 0801 hard wired in to the overhead console so that it starts up when 'ignition' is on. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

If you look carefully, the indicator on the Focus flashes 3 times before it even makes it to the line entering the roundabout.

Though why they went over the roundabout, and didn't go around it is anyone's guess

Yes, your "fault", Paddi, I believe. The way I always handle these irritating mini roundabouts is to think about who's wheels get to the give way line first... in which case they should have right of way, no matter what. Fortunately, you were both travelling at a sensible speed so any misunderstandings in the other's intent required little more than a firm dab on the stoppers, no harm done, happens all the time. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... I don't believe it was actually Paddi's fault, if both drivers had gone around the roundabout there would not have been a problem. She actually broke the law by turning right across the actual roundabout. I've read about motorists in Derbyshire being fined and given points for not going round the mini-roundabout.

Hi Paddi.
Sorry I have to say you are totally at fault according to the Highway Code and DSA Driver Manual. Vehicles coming towards you may want to turn right, giveaway to them. Be sure any vehicle on the roundabout is going to leave it before you join it. The Focus is guilty of not passing round the central markings of the roundabout.

The way I see it is::

The focus shows a right signal on approach to the roundabout. Very difficult to spot due to poor driving conditions so you should approach with caution. You assumed the Focus was going ahead, Never assume.
The Focus was well over the line facing the direction they intended going before you got to the roundabout. The positioning of the Focus on the approach tells me they intend turning right. Although the Focus cut the roundabout, I honestly feel they did you a favour. Had they attempted to go around the central markings they would possibly have gone into the side of you had you entered the roundabout further.

Am I right in thinking that although the Fiesta was supposed to indicate it doesn't actually make any difference if they do or not. She had right of way regardless of whether she indicated. Correct?
