What options?

If you were replacing your RRS with another which options would you spec it with and which on your current RRS would you leave off?

I have an SE at present and will go for an HSE next
The boxes I would tick :
Locking Rear Diff
Dynamic Pack
QR Tow Pack
Not 100% sure about the colour to have - my preferences are:
Same again so nobody except an anorak realises I've bought a new car (before you all leap in I have a private/ cherished/ vanity number plate)!
Tangier Orange (the G4 RRS colour) with black interior
White with ebony interior
(solid colours are much better for offroading as they don't show the scratches so easily and are easier to touchup when they do get scratched)
LR have just announced a list of G4 RRS options and I would add:-

Expedition Roof Rack
Underbody protection
G4 MTR tyres
Special front and rear recovery hooks
Portable Warn Winch

Adding that lot would enable me to sell the Defender and keep Robin Sunflower a bit happier by only owning one 4x4 instead of 2!!

In fact if LR were to sell off the G4 Sports I would be very tempted to have one, only problem is they tend to strip off all the useful bits before selling them on!

What else??
PTI - not convinced as so many people don't seem to be having much luck with it.
Sunroof........... haven't had one on a car for 10 years and prefer Aircon on a hot day. There is a popup sunroof on my Defender and is murder at this time of year as the condensation that forms on it in frosty weather drips right down the back of your neck every bump and corner!)

I cannot think of anything to leave off. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I would have all my current options (see below) plus the fridge, black leather. I would prefer the petrol supercharged but economics dictate! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

In LRM January issue somewhere, but after a quick scan I cannot now find the item! I asked at the dealers today and they hadn't heard of it (but they are the last to know about anything these days!) The bits can be bought from Mantec, Safety Devices, Bearmach and some of the other companies that prepare Land Rovers. Will post web-addresses later. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Same again - but if I could save money by being able to NOT specify/have the satnav then great. Why do I need satnav to find my way to the office - its only a mile Very Happy and if I go out and about I use a map if I cant manage to follow the simple road signs.

But - when I come to sell the car I know I would have trouble if it hadn't got satnav as everyone now wants it Crying or Very sad

Plus I wouldnt have to keep turning the Damn thing off Shocked

Mine is pretty much as I want it. It's missing the sunroof which would be nice to have as during warmer weather, I don't like having the side windows down... would rather have a breeze circulate in from the open roof. Bit more performance would be nice, although I'm used to taking my time now and anyway once you're on the torque curve it's fine. The big question is whether or not I would actually replace like with like. I've never done that... replaced a car with exactly the same car but newer.

So no little deflector pops up when the sunroof retracts? That's a bit of a loss...

I don't have a sunroof on mine but know a guy who has and he has got round the buffeting by fitting those smoked perspex wind deflectors on the drivers and front passenger doors. You can open the windows a crack and have the sunroof open and have no buffeting. You can buy them through most good accessory shops or look in the Land Rover magazines as there are ads for them nearly every month, they are popular with Defender owners. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
