Hello folks,
I'm at a land rover dealer at present they have advised there is a re call on my detachable tow bar. Something to do with tolerances.
If the tow bar etc is out of tolerance they will offer to fit a fixed 3 positional tow bar free of charge.
That's all i know at present. Will keep you posted.

My towbar and equipment has been inspected and all seems to be in tolerance. So clean bill of health. Think it affects car s that the tow bar has been left on for some time?
Service centre was a little sketchy on this. But I'm glad mines is okay considering i have probably only used my tow bar 3 times in the last 3 years lol.

Just this minute opened a letter from LR called

"Customer Satisfaction Programme - Discovery 3, Discovery4 and Range Rover Sport - Detachable Tow Ball and Supplement - Reference Q393"

Affects ALL RRS 2005-13 and Discovery 2005-15

Bottom line short is that I should take my RRS to a main dealer for a check and if a problem of wear is found, they will either replace the rear crossmember or provide a heavy duty multi-height towbar FOC. Otherwise they will mark up in your handbook the fact it has been checked and actions taken.

Only for LR Towbars obviously
