L494 Steering Wheel Thickness - Is the SVR the same wheel?

Had my L494 sport for 6 months now and love it to bits...no issues so far except sloshing which I have lived with so far but will get sorted out soon.

I came from a Cayenne and before that a BMW X5 and both of these cars had solid thick steering wheels. I find the rim thickness of the sport wheel to thin and really do feel that the car would feel much nicer to drive if it had a thicker rimmed steering wheel.

On the Land Rover off road experience I chose to drive a Full Fat Vogue TDV8 and the wheel on that felt a little thicker in comparison but not anything like the Cayenne and X5 steering wheels.

Has anyone moved from a standard RRS to an SVR - is the SVR steering wheel thickness the same as a standard car? Would love to beef up the thickness on mine!

Afraid you'll be disappointed as the SVR steering wheel is identical to the standard RRS wheel - apart from the carbon insert if that option was ticked. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

That's crap! I was hoping the svr had a thicker wheel.

I have found a company called Royal Steering Wheels who have said they can make the wheel thicker and re trim. They are BMW specialists but have done some sports cars etc too.

I'm in two minds as my car is new Embarassed

On our old S/C I upgraded to the Overfinch steering wheel - absolutely loved it!
