Which Mod Comes First ! Confused ??

Hi, after reading all the wonderful things you can do to a TD V6 (2007) I am confused as to in what order. From EGR blanking to De-cat pipe, Re Map, could some one please advise me the best place to start my improvements. I know all these things help but do I blank the EGR valves with a remap to sort out the EM light first, or fit a De cat pipe ?? I am confused but would like to start at the beginning , please advise, thanks in advance Bow down 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!!

Decat first, so the engine parameters have time to adapt to the new setup, so the remap makes the most of it Thumbs Up

No, no electronics involved with the cat. Only potential issue is the MOT. Thumbs Up

If you de-cat after the re-map, will you not get the full potential?

I've previously blanked the EGR'S, Terracleaned, Re-mapped. 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Yep, it's diesels too now. You can get one with a dummy cat which would solve the issue, but there's a good chance it wouldn't be noticed with a straight pipe anyway. Thumbs Up

I'll be finding out soon... They can't remove anything, so if it's noticed, I'll just hide it with a heat shield or similar. Wink Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Pete Bell said the de-cat makes no difference to the map when I asked. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

That's good news.

Did I read that there can be issues removing the de-cat? Something about a set of bolts that have a likelihood to shear/snap? 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

The manifold nuts can be stuck, and if the studs snap, it's turbo out. Make sure whoever fits it has done them before and/or has a good feel for such things. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
