Lead time now 14 weeks

I went to Lancaster Welwyn today and he said the lead time for a factory order RRS is 14 weeks, stating delivery to the dealership would be late Sep and delivery to me would be early Oct. But I read here that some folks placed their orders months ago and their cars won't arrive until Oct, basically the same.

Has there been a shutdown for MY16 revision/tooling, or will a new order now likely be later than early Oct?

Interesting that lead times are coming down. I wonder if it's due to the Chinese economy tanking, maybe that gravy train is about to hit the buffers. Mark

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Soon they'll be able to build them slowly enough to build them properly...looks like the MY17 might be the ones to buy second hand in a few years Whistle 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Not to mention that the PCP/lease terms will be coming to an end over the next 12 months or so, which may mean more choices available on the market. I still want one now though! Tony
