Owner of 2011 RRS with circa 33,000 miles. Annual use less than 8,000 miles.

Require worry free motoring in UK and Europe (France/Spain) which requires on top of normal car insurance the following:

- Comprehensive parts and labour warranty.
- Comprehensive Breakdown cover incl. France/Spain.

Needs to single trips at least up to 100 days and more than once.

Of note: LR Assist only cover trips up to 30 days and a maximum of 91 days in any 12 month period.
WD only cover out of the country 100 days in any one year
RAC will cover single trip up to 180 days but only one trip a year or multi trip maximum 90 days.
ADAC Plus (a German company) covers say a single person or husband and wife for any vehicle they may be driving regardless of age in UK and Europe for circa £84. They also include some emergency medical 'get you home' cover with this. If in the UK the car must be more than 50Km (30 miles) away from place of residence to use this policy. If in Europe at the 'time of the incident' one must have not been away from residence more than 92 days.

At the moment I have WD and ADAC which means I cannot be out of the country more than 92 days. (With ADAC I could have multiple 92 day trips in theory but then still have the issue about parts warranty.

What I want is the option to have the vehicle outside of the UK for say 180 days (unlikely as always travel back every 3 months to check up on things.)

I know forum members all quote LR Assist as the best cover but for me they offer the least.

Anyone got any great suggestions for me to investigate please.

You have specific needs, if you current vehicle and its cover does not meet those needs then you should find a vehicle that does meet your needs.

Good point, just trying to play within the rules. Of course worse case scenario would be two breadownsvorvwarranty claims in Europe in over 100 days. That might take some explaining.
