Having a nightmare

Ok so my RRS S/C has been having a lot of suspension problems where it would throw random faults in regards to the suspension, so I took it back to the garage who I bought it off after 1 month of ownership and they did a compressor rebuild, I got the car home and had loqds of faults appearing and the vehicle would only lower on one side but if continued to press it would lower then go in to extended mode so I called the garage and I booked it in with a local Landy specialist who confirmed the compressor was at fault so it was replaced with a brand new one. Anyway they said it had been rebuilt incorrect and had blow some of the dryer balls down the pipes so they blew them out but it was sticking on the offside so they called the garage to say new compressor fixed the problem with it growing faults up but it is sticking they need to investigate further but the garage said they weren't prepared to pay anymore money, so the Landy specialist apologised and said obviously they can't work for free so he suggested taking it away and see how it went maybe some of the balls had gotten in to the valve block maybe it will go away after a week :/ picked it up and it starts to lower. It only the drivers side goes down then comes up with extended mode but it also says suspension raising slowly and there is a terrible creaking coming from the front anti roll bar, could this be the problem if the bushes are shot or the ace system is faulty? Sorry for the long winded post but I'm stuck with what to do and hope somebody can help Bow down

Oh sorry, you said "after 1 month of ownership" I assumed it was from a maindealer Approved used scheme. You do have some kid of warranty don't you? Or you researched and made sure you could afford the repairs?

These cars are amazing, but they come with amazing repair bills.

Sorry my fault should have said, yes I took out a warranty at £520 who won't cover it, surely the garage I bought it from should as the original fault at only a couple weeks old is when it all started, they then did the compressor rebuild which is when these major faults started and the garage I took it to which is a Range Rover specialist said they had built it wrong so the dryer balls managed to get in the air lines which could be the cause but to find out they need paying and because it all started so early on id rather not have to foot the bill.

If you've only had the car 1 month then take it back to the garage you got it from, it's upto them to get it sorted or get your money back as it's not fit for purpose. Talk to trading standards.
I'm sure there are others on here who will advise you in more detail , good luck 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

The problems started in less than a month, I have now owned it almost 4 month but the dealer had it for 1 month then then the the problems started near enough straight away so I have had in total 2 weeks of problem free driving the rest has been in the garage or unable to drive due to issues with it. The garage and me have fallen out and he says he isn't willing to pay for anything I'm really stuck on what to do.

Thanks for that Markiv125 I have spent a lot of time reading various things on what my rights are as a buyer and this is something I haven't seen, it states something about i have the right to return within a certain period but doesn't state the length of time is a suitable period, is 4 month ok would you say even though the faults were within the first month and now the garage is not willing to do anything, should I take it back and demand my money back and can they say no or what do I do Big Cry

Clock starts from when you first reported the fault; so you're well inside any Sale of Goods Act conditions.

The dealer has had a chance to repair and failed so you can take it elsewhere ( LR Dealership is wise) and get a quote which you can send to the dealer and give him/her 7 days to agree to repair or you will action the LR to repair fault. You should do it in writing and follow up any phone conversations by email/letter. Tell your seller you will look to get your money back via the Small Claims Court.

You might want the Citizen Advice crowd to help so you can get their backup.

Thank you very much for the advise I have never owned a vehicle which has caused such a stink so I'm unsure on the correct route to take with it, I will draft a letter up tomorrow and post up her for a few people to look over and maybe point out anything I might not want to or even if I should be putting something else. Thank you again for the help much appreciated
