Hey guys my first post on here I've got an autobiography 3.0 tdv6 2010 model. I was driving along about 60mph and all of a sudden I heard a little noise (bang) the engine cut off and it's slowed to a stop. My friend came to help me and said that the mega fuse attached to the battery had blown so we put another fuse in and it blown soon as I went to start.

Could really do with some help here guys I have connected my cheap diagnostics machine to the car and that the fault code that it read.

Any ideas

Altenator is scrap or starter, I would go with the altenator though  None currently

Also to mention we found what looked like crumbs on the bonnet cover my friends opinion is that a mouse a been in there maybe chewed through a wire. I mean we even tryed to use a power pack to start her but it didn't even turn the engine. I'm really hoping this is a simple fix not had it long about 3-4months and in week 3 the handbrake siezed up costing me about £800 to have a new box replaced ;(.

Or a chaffed battery cable shorting out

Well sayin that he checked the battery and it shown I think 12.5 volts on his machine. Plus the battery is quite new I replaced it 2-3 months back.
