Goodyear MTR's

Just fitted a set of Goodyear Wrangler MTR's on the RRS. I havn't used them off road yet but on road I would say the ride is a little softer and road noise up by 15%. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Not sure about the wider RRS rims but on the D3 ones you get more even wear if you run them at a couple of PSI above standard

Slimer what PSI?

Gary they were bought 2nd hand off another site member. They are the 19's but with the lower speed rating.

Funnily enough I have been looking at tyres in depth today for mine. BUT Mad I have limited choice for the supercharged and the more I have read into the matter I can see why Landrover reccommends and fits as standard the contis 275/40/r20 Y rated tyres - summer tyre - best for road use - very low noise -

What mekes me laugh though is the "Y" rating for speed = 186mph

I have looked at several other options - but think I will remain with the conti's for now.

Looked at the Hankooks - but load/speed ratings do not compare to those of the contis......... but then they are only half the cost of the contis Confused

VA, is there a DOT number printed on the sidewall of those MT/Rs? I read conflicting reports about these tyres being Dept of Transportation approved for use on US roads. Thanks.

Idea

If all UK cars were fitted with "Q" rated tyres that would stop everyone from speeding - If you go too fast your tyres blow out!! Therefor no need for speed cameras = Dont tell Alistair Darling though Wink

Mine was set at 95 - at least I would have avoided being hauled up before the beak (well, hopefully).
