Any good exterior pics of Mariana as looking on the net it seems to vary dramatically according to natural light

Congratulations on the order. Mariana Black is a lovely colour. I had BMW's equivalent called Carbon Black on my last X5. Looked amazing, lovely dark blue in the light, and nice deep black when it went dark.

That colour is very similar to BMWs carbon black which I had on an X5 - fantastic when clean and maintained well but a nightmare if not. Make sure you look after the valeting (find your local one here: http://www.pro-valets.co.uk/) of this yourself or use a professional valeter as if you use a local Easter EU spec car wash that amazing car will be covered in swirl marks which will create a horrible hologram effect every time the sun hits it!

Good choice, a few things to note:

Paintwork is VERY thin, prone to scratching everywhere. The colour looks best either spotlessly clean or really dirty....inbetween it just looks neglected.

its a stunning colour, sometimes it looks black, sometimes deep navy, sometimes even purple. I love it, best colour I have had on a car.

Make sure you check it VERY carefully for swirls when you pick it up, I didn't :/ it seems prone to swirls due to the deep colour and thin paint.

Jean dye will transfer onto the leather, this cleans off easily with either a decent leather cleaner or for emergencies keep some baby wipes in the glovebox
