Yeah… IID is by GAP and Mongoose (a cable) is for JLR-SDD, two different diagnostics systems. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

I was just reading about this a couple of weeks ago,, not a lot of info on it other than it is JLR software program. It does appear to do almost everything you might require and it's as cheap as chips. Only thing is you need a laptop to run it,, can be tricky to install but help is available,, also needed is a battery charger connected to the car while setting up and scanning I believe. I am really interested for the sake of 30 odd quid as I have plenty of laptops I can use. There is a few bits on utube as to what it looks like in use. 2010 RRS, TDV8
bali Blue / colour coded
side steps / flappy paddles
black perforated leather
22" overfinch
heated everything, TV,fridge ...... now with gold calipers and mud flaps !( black mud flaps that is) !!
Many years ago,,,,, 1955 series 1 landie , sometimes wish I had kept it

SDD is not "free as chips", since it has always been a zero-payment download from JLR Topix. It's the subscription allowing you to do anything substantial to the vehicle using SDD that is quite costly. Regards etc.,

I didn't say it was free,,, it cost 30 odd quid fro cartools and includes the passwords so no subscription,,,if you want to be able to do the basics and not modify ccf files it's a lot cheaper than a Id tool 2010 RRS, TDV8

JLR locks out these passwords on a daily basis. The record time I've seen was 30 minutes from connecting an illegal SDD to lockout. Regards etc.,
