Sorry to say but the only roof rails you can get for the sport are the factory LR ones. The only downside to these, apart from being very expensive, is the rails are a permanent fixture to the roof. You soon get used to them though...... Check on ebay if you are after a set, probably a load cheaper

The LR ones aren't that bad to look at.... on a black sort you barely notice them and they at least open up the options of carrying bikes, boards etc. I think the asking price in OZ is about 1500! At least they won't scratch the roof like foam pads will if there is some dirt under them. PM TrivettRsport, he's in Sydney and can probably do you a good deal |

surely not are they gold plated or what. Ebay in the UK, Marshalls are offering them at 260 of her majesties finest sterling (alledgedly genuine). Might have to get a relative to come out for a holiday, complete with a set of roof bars and mounts in the luggage, will be an interesting discussion at customs Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

Stopped at Roof Rack city on the Pacific highway or had a quick look and then called Rhino roof rails. Low and behold, they will be launching the RRS tracks in the next month or so. I was quoted for the tracks, roof rails and kayak carriers approximately 830 Australian. The landrover quote with the Aqua sport carrier was around 1750 bucks

I ended up getting mine from the UK. Genuine LR for 232 pounds sterling. I got some other stuff as well so all up with the freight they worked out pretty reasonable. Roughly about a third of what they were trying to rip you off here in Oz. They look good and the cross bars are extremely easy to remove if you are not using them. Come with their own little carry bag.

Might have to follow you, i was hoping that the rails would be ready for xmas, but apparently they have only just issued the prototypes for load testing, so it could be another 4 weeks at least. Just fitted a pair of Rhino roof racks--aero shape. No problems and work well. Easy to fit. Got for $399 from the guys at Autobarn with a little negotiating. Rhino have sent me a large catalogue of accessories that fit the bars and would cover any pursuit. |

That is pics of my car in the brochure. My car was used by Rhino to develop the racks. Very nice fit and finish!
