New order- advice please

Hi everyone. First post.
Just ordered new RRS for my mum.
We don't need to lock the specs in for another few weeks for September delivery.

RRS HSE
Standard 20 rims
Mariana black
Adaptive xenons
Fixed pano roof
Privacy glass
Full size spare
Dimming wing mirrors
Twin blade sun visor
Cooler compartment
Meridian 1k upgrade
Parallel and bay park assist
Blind spot plus reversing detection
Tri zone climate
Extra water bottle
Upgraded to 18 way seats

Interior colour is espresso seats and ivory dash for a bit of a contrast.

Bit of advice. Would it be better to get ebony instead of espresso seats?
How good is the park assist actually, both parallel and bay parking?
Anything I am missing or dont need (the parking and blind spot are the mother's requirements unfortunately).

Many thanks
Raj

Edit- didnt manage a discount but got 5 year service for free and managed to knock almost 3% off the APR for finance.

Are the tyre/alloy/gap ins/autglym and scotchguard/ smart bodywork repair worth it?

What are you spending on all these options Shocked

May work out better for you to get an Autobiography!

The dealership extra's (protection etc) you mention should have been included in the deal...many people have managed to negotiate that in to the deal - I did Thumbs Up

Not sure if your mum would use the parking functions TBH - take her for a test on a car with one and see how she feels? My wife does not use it on our C class as she feels to scared to do so!

Two obvious omissions to me are heated steering wheel and soft closing doors.

Does she really need the self parking? Maybe the RRS isn't for her if she can't park it. HSE comes with front & rear sensors and reversing camera as standard so she shouldn't need the self park.

Also...are the 18 way seats really necessary? I have 14 way (I think) and there's more than enough adjustment in the seats.

Soft closing doors are just a gimmick and not necessary IMO. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Gone but not forgotten:
2014 RRS2 SDV6 HSE in Loire Blue
2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE in Santorini Black

Agree with everything Chrisr1806 said above. I would also think about how useful the cooler compartment is to her (depends on how much time she spends on the road IMHO). I have used it once in my previous RRS and once in the current one. That's in more than 3 years of ownership. I think it is included in my AB spec on order but personally I wouldn't have paid for it if it wasn't standard. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory
Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond

Is the cooler compartment big enough for a bottle of wine/fizz? MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

Don't know about RRS2 but in the old model it isn't deep enough for that. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Its Not big enough for wine bottles I'm afraid, even standard 500ml coke bottles don't stand up if you want to close the lid.
They should have made it deeper imo. On order expected October 16 macan turbo
Current car MY15 Hse Dynamic
Cayenne v6 MY64
RRS MY13 Black edition
Discovery MY61 xs
RRS TDV6 MY07
