If you can't get them out, they'll have to be cut. It's quite a common issue.

Hi, my compressor pipes are seized also. Did you find a remedy or did you have to cut them ?

that type of fitting ( push lock ) becomes " compressed " so to speak after a period of time and become very difficult to remove, to save time and possible damage. As LFW says, cut them further back where you have some access to the pipes and buy a couple of new straight through push locks and just reconnect the pipes when you are finished. they are available on ebay and are quite cheap. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Hello again, regarding stubborn the compressor pipes. I managed to remove the air dryer and change the granules. without removing the complete compressor, this did not cure the slow rising code however although the car drove ok.

I would imagine that just changing the dessicant in the drier will have little effect on the output of the compressor as the dessicant's purpose in life is to dry the air and protect the system from moisture. To improve the compressor operation you would have to replace the piston seals / rings etc, this is in effect what you have done by replacing the whole unit. 2010 RRS, TDV8
