Complete PDC fail

Hi all hope someone can help.

The parking sensors front and rear on my 55 plate RRS have completely failed as soon as i turn ignition on there is a buzer sounding and the switch led flashes constantly. I have replaced all eight sensors but no better, so took it to local independant specialist yesterday, they have pluged into diagnostics and it is showing a fault on both front and rear wiring looms or possibly the module they cant pinpoint exacty, so how likely is it that both looms can fail at the exact same time or is it more likely the module. I am tempted to try module first as it is easyest to change. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Dean.

The individual looms aren't expensive - I recently bought a rear one for about £50. I ended up fixing a damaged wire rather than replacing the loom. I had a similar sounding issue to you and it was caused by a broken wire running to one of the rear sensors. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

We get these all the time.
Could be an individual sensor, a piece of wire between them, or partial loom.

Thanks for your reply's. The specialist I used was in Louth as we were in Skegness for the week they were really helpful and did say that the looms are a common issue, so common in fact that they stock them and had only changed one module in the last three years, and to be honest they wouldn't accept payment for diagnostics. I was hoping that I would not have to remove the bumpers as it looks difficult on my own, although I virtually had to remove them to change the sensors.

Cheers Dean.
